The Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA) has made inadmissibility decision regarding the complaint filed by Mikita Sokal. The complaint alleged unfair competition by Ltd “Merkuri.”
During the admissibility stage, as a consequence of reconciling the information/evidence presented, it was determined that the complaint did not meet the standard of material admissibility established by the legislation. Specifically, the GCCA found no reasonable suspicion of a legal violation, as the circumstances described by the complainant did not indicate a breach of competition law. Therefore, the Agency considered it inappropriate to initiate an investigation.
In 2024, the GCCA completed two investigation cases and four are ongoing. During reporting period, the Agency issued an inadmissibility decision on 9 complaints.
