National Competition Agency and the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance signed a Memorandum of Cooperation
On September 7, the chairman of the National Competition Agency, Irakli Lekvinadze, and the head of the revenue service of the Ministry of Finance, Levan Kakava, signed a memorandum of cooperation. The parties agreed to actively cooperate for improving a free, healthy, and competitive environment. Based on the memorandum, if the agency is unable to deliver the written correspondence to the addressee, the Revenue Service will ensure to send it through an authorized page of the taxpayer.
As mentioned in the meeting, the National Competition Agency currently studying several cases in the direction of market study, investigation, or concentration. Accordingly, it actively communicates with various stakeholders, where the correct, timely communication process is of the utmost importance.
Within the framework of the mentioned memorandum, the parties agreed - the Revenue Service will provide the agency with information about the opening/submission of the document within 2 working days to the following email address: gnca_rs@gnca.gov.ge;
Furthermore, the Revenue Service ensures complete confidentiality of the provided information/documentation and will use it only to send it to the addressee. At the meeting, the parties also discussed issues related to the use of electronic services and the exchange of public information.
The meeting was also attended by Paata Kiladze and Levan Tsitelashvili, Deputy Heads of Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, and Giorgi Peradze, Deputy Chairman of the National Competition Agency.
