The final meeting of the steering committee was held in the frame of the EU-funded Twinning Project

The final  meeting of the steering committee was held in the frame of the EU-funded Twinning Project "Strengthening Capacity of the Competition Agency of Georgia". The welcome speeches were delivered by the Chairman of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency, Irakli Lekvinadze,  Attaché at the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia, Mindy Bojkova and the Project Leader, Irma Urmonaite.


Chairman of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency, Irakli Lekvinadze, thoroughly reviewed the measures implemented within the project and expressed gratitude to the EU mission, local and international experts, and participating authorities for their involvement and support. During the meeting, , Justina Paulauskaité presented the report on the implemented activities within the project.


The committee was held in a question-and-answer format. The meeting was attended by representatives from the GCCA, the European delegation, the twinning project, the Competition Council of the Republic of Lithuania, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the the State Agency for Consumer Rights Protection.


For information: The EU-funded TWINNING project lasted two years and provided consulting and technical assistance to the Agency, with the support of experts from Lithuania's and Austria's competition authorities. A total of eight committee hearings were held, during which members from various entities discussed in detail the aspects of the project's implementation.
