The Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA) signed a commitment agreement with the company „LC Waikiki” in favor of the consumer.
In accordance with the agreement signed between the GCCA and the trader, in order to eliminate the alleged violation of the law, the trader was instructed to:
- To change the company’s internal policy and comply with the requirements of the law;
- Comprehensibly and fully provide the information to a consumer defined by the law in the national language of Georgia;
According to the GCCA decision and as per the agreement, the trader was given a one-month period to fulfill the obligations to the Agency.
For information: According to data from January to May 2024, 28 violations of the consumer group's rights were confirmed in 46 cases. In 22 cases, 16 traders were fined 17 512 GEL for failing to comply with the Agency's obligations. In favor of consumers, 55 commitment agreements were signed in 60 cases.
