GCCA Announces Student Contest on Consumer Rights Protection

As part of the III International Week of Consumer Rights Protection, the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA) is launching the Consumer Rights Protection Leaders Training Program to enhance its activities and develop qualified professionals in the field.  The program aims to support students' career growth, strengthen practical skills, and train specialists in consumer rights protection, preparing them for future employment.

Interested candidates are invited to submit an article on any consumer rights protection-related topic to the GCCA at consumer@gcca.gov.ge between February 5 and March 8, 2025.

The contest is open to students who have completed a bachelor’s degree in law or are currently pursuing master’s or doctoral degrees at a higher education institution.

As part of the Leadership Training Program, one student will be selected as the author of the best article and will have the opportunity to participate in the opening event of the III International Consumer Rights Week. The winner will also complete a two-month internship at the GCCA Consumer Rights Protection Department. Upon successful completion of the internship, they may be considered for employment at the department.

In 2023, during the I International Week of Consumer Rights Protection, the university program „Start a Career at the Competition Agency” was successfully implemented. Through this initiative, three winning students from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University completed internships at the Agency, and one of them is now a full-time employee.
