The Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA) has approved a concentration in the sector of inpatient and outpatient medical service provision.
The transaction concerns the acquisition of sole control over „Gormedi” LLC by „Georgian Clinics” JSC. Based on the Agency’s assessment, the notified concentration is not expected to have any significant impact on the competitive environment.
Both undertakings involved are active in the provision of inpatient and outpatient medical services. The GCCA’s market analysis determined that the relevant market is characterized by a low level of concentration. Moreover, the anticipated change in the Herfindahl–Hirschman Index (HHI) resulting from the transaction is minimal, further confirming that the concentration is compatible with the competitive environment.
In the current year, the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency has approved a total of 17 concentrations.
