In order to identify potential concentrations subject to mandatory prior notification and to ensure the effective enforcement of competition legislation, the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency GCCA initiated proceedings in respect of three concentrations implemented in the fourth quarter of 2025.
During the reporting period, a total of 4,887 concentrations were registered in Georgia. Of these, 4,873 cases did not meet the criteria that would give rise to the obligation of prior notification. The remaining 14 cases were assessed as concentrations that satisfied the relevant criteria, including the joint annual turnover threshold.
Of these 14 cases, 11 fell within the exemptions provided for under competition legislation and were therefore exempt from the obligation to submit a prior notification to the Agency. With regard to the remaining three cases, the information identified indicated a presumed obligation to submit a prior notification to GCCA. Accordingly, the Agency initiated proceedings in respect of these three concentrations.
