Head of the GCCA Training Research Centre participates in OECD International Conference

Teona Babunashvili, Head of the Training Research Centre of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA), participated in an international conference organised by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris.


The event was held within the framework of the Competition Open Day and brought together representatives of competition authorities from various jurisdictions, as well as experts from academia, international organisations, and the public and private sectors.


During the conference, participants examined contemporary developments and emerging challenges in competition policy, as well as practical regulatory and enforcement approaches. Particular attention was devoted to the potential role of artificial intelligence in the activities of competition authorities. Discussions focused on the use of AI-based technologies and analytical tools for the detection of competition infringements, advanced data analysis, and the enhancement of institutional effectiveness.


The programme also addressed issues related to cooperation mechanisms in merger control procedures. In this context, participants exchanged practical experiences and insights from different jurisdictions.
