Meeting with local residents held in Gardabani within the framework of the 4th International Consumer Protection Week

Within the framework of the 4th International Consumer Protection Week, a meeting with local residents was held in Gardabani, jointly organized by the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency, the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission, the Georgian National Communications Commission, the National Bank of Georgia, the Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia, and the National Food Agency.


Opening remarks were delivered to local residents and other interested participants by Levan Kalandadze, Deputy Chairman of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency, and Davit Narmania, Chairman of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission.


During the meeting, representatives of the participating institutions provided local residents with an overview of consumer rights and provided practical guidance on the mechanisms available for their protection, including the procedures through which consumers may address the competent authorities in cases of rights violations.


During the meeting, the Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia delivered a presentation entitled “Analytics of Consumer Applications by Insurance Products”, providing an overview of trends and key issues reflected in consumer applications concerning insurance services.


The meeting was also attended by representatives of the local authorities.


As part of the 4th International Consumer Protection Week, further events and outreach meetings are scheduled to take place in Gori, Batumi, and Tskaltubo.
