Representative of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency participates in International Seminar

Irakli Shakiashvili, Deputy Head of the Legal Department of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency, participated in an international seminar held in Yerevan, the capital of the Republic of Armenia.


The event, aimed at strengthening international cooperation in the field of competition policy and advocacy, was jointly organised by the International Competition Network (ICN) Advocacy Working Group and the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission of the Republic of Armenia. Within the framework of the ICN Advocacy Workshop, Irakli Shakiashvili delivered a presentation focusing on the effective use of market studies in the development of pro-competitive public policies.


The seminar brought together representatives of competition authorities from various jurisdictions that are members of the International Competition Network. Discussions addressed current challenges in competition policy, the integration of competition principles into public policymaking, the role of market studies in strengthening competitive markets, and the importance of competition advocacy in an evolving economic environment.
