Ana Rukhadze, a representative of the Legal Department of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency, participated in an international seminar entitled “Competition Agency Tools for Promoting Growth and Welfare”.
The seminar, held in Yerevan, was jointly organised by the OECD-GVH Regional Centre for Competition (RCC) and the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission of Armenia. It convened leading international experts in competition policy, alongside representatives of competition authorities from a wide range of jurisdictions.
The seminar provided a platform for the exchange of views on contemporary challenges in competition policy and the discussion of practical enforcement tools. Participants engaged with experts from the OECD and competition authorities of Italy, Portugal, Spain, Romania, and other countries, sharing experiences and best practices.
Discussions focused on key areas including the effective enforcement of antitrust law, methodologies for conducting market studies and analyses, competition advocacy and regulatory enhancement, as well as the impact of mergers and market structures on competition and economic development.
