Representatives of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency held informational and educational meetings with students of Tbilisi Public Schools N 58 and N 127

Representatives of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA) organized and conducted informational and educational sessions for students of Tbilisi Public Schools N 58 and N 127, with the objective of reinforcing consumer protection and promoting public awareness.

Within the framework of the educational campaign, students at both basic and upper secondary levels were provided with comprehensive information on consumer rights, relevant enforcement mechanisms, and the core principles of competition policy. The meetings sought to enhance awareness among young people and to provide them with the practical knowledge and skills required to effectively protect their interests within an increasingly complex and dynamic market environment.

Particular emphasis was placed on practical aspects, including key considerations when purchasing goods both in-store and online, methods for identifying potential infringements, and available avenues for seeking redress. The Agency’s representatives illustrated these issues through real-life case examples and provided detailed responses to participants’ questions.

The meetings were conducted in an interactive format. Participants positively assessed the educational and informational programme, which is implemented with the support of the GCCA Training Research Center and the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia.
