Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency conducted information and educational meetings with public school students in the Imereti Region

The Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA) continues to implement its regional educational outreach programme. In this context, GCCA representatives conducted a series of information and awareness-raising sessions with students of public schools in the Imereti region, addressing key aspects of consumer protection and competition policy.

The sessions took place at Bagdati Public School N1, village Dimi Public School N1, as well as at public schools in the villages of Amaghleba and Shuagora, engaging students from both lower and upper secondary education levels.

During the meetings, GCCA representatives outlined the core principles of competition policy and, through practical examples, facilitated discussions on common challenges faced by consumers in everyday market interactions. The sessions also aimed to enhance students’ awareness of their rights and to provide guidance on the competent authorities and available redress mechanisms in cases of potential infringements.

These activities are organised by the GCCA Training Research Center, with the active support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia.
