As of today, the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA) has assumed the Presidency of the International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network (ICPEN) for the 2026-2027 term.
Within the framework of its ICPEN presidency, the Agency, in September 2026, will host a high level international conference in Tbilisi, bringing together representatives from up to 80 countries.
During its presidency, the GCCA will work together with member countries to advance three priority areas: strengthening inter-country cooperation with a view to sharing experience, developing global standards, and eliminating unfair commercial practices; reinforcing mechanisms for the protection of consumer rights in digital markets; and supporting emerging consumer protection authorities through deeper cooperation with more experienced institutions.
The guiding message of the ICPEN presidency is "Building Trust in the Digital Age".
The International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network was established in 1992 and brings together more than 80 member countries, together with leading international organisations.
