The Second International Competition Conference “Competition Policy: Trends and Challenges” is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the first Democratic Republic of Georgia and the 100th anniversary of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. High Rank Officials from about 30 countries, 200 participants; Representatives from the Government of Georgia, Parliament, Local and International Organizations, Competition Agencies of various countries, Academia, Business Associations and Civil Sector took part in the work of conference.

Prof. Nodar Khaduri, Chairman of Competition Agency of Georgia; Giorgi Sharvashidze, Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University; Roman Kakulia, Chairman of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee; Vincent Rey, Head of Cooperation Section, the EU Delegation to Georgia; Aurelio La Torre, Team Leader, EU project “Support to the Georgian Competition Agency”; Mihaela Dascultu, Deputy Managing Director, B&S Europe and others addressed the audience.

Participants discussed issues of such importance as: Ways for improvement of competition; Current Trends and Challenges of Competition Enforcement; The Future of Competition; Approximation perspectives of Georgian Law on Competition to European and etc. Main goal of the conference is to increase awareness of Competition Agency of Georgia on local and international level; to raise a competition culture in society and to support of competition law and policy enforcement.
