Based on a complaint from car importers, the Georgian National Competition Agency launched an investigation regarding possible abuse of dominant position by the defendant undertaking - "Rustavi Auto Market".
The case concerns the defendant undertaking’s imposition of an unreasonably high price for the use of parking lots in the Rustavi auto. As a result, the complaining parties request that the Agency investigate the alleged infringement of the requirements of Article 6 of the Law of Georgia on Competition.
A research group was formed on the basis of an order issued by the Agency's Chairman on November 14, 2023, to investigate the case.
In 2023, the Agency completed 5 investigations, fines were repeatedly issued in 2 cases, and inadmissibility decisions were made in 6 cases. Currently, the Agency is conducting an investigation into five issues.
