On October 4, 2024, the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency completed a case study concerning an alleged violation of the Law of Georgia on the Protection of Consumer Rights by the trader Ozjan Firiev Ltd (P/N 20001063081). The Agency concluded the case by signing a commitment agreement with the trader.
Within the frame of the case study, the Agency assessed the trader's obligations and concluded that fulfilling those requirements would eliminate the risk of potential legal infractions. Accordingly, the trader was obliged to align its trading policy with the relevant articles of the law and restore the allegedly violated consumers' rights.
Case of “Cristal MG”

On October 4, 2024, the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency completed a case study concerning an alleged violation of the Law of Georgia on the Protection of Consumer Rights by the trader “Cristal MG”. The Agency concluded the case by signing a commitment agreement with the trader.
As per the agreement, the trader has to align its trading policy and restore the allegedly violated consumers' rights. Additionally, the company is obligated to provide consumers with the information outlined in Articles 5 and 10 of the law in the state language of Georgia before finalizing the contract.
