Tbilisi City Court granted the petition of the Georgian National Competition Agency in the case of "Forsa". Accordingly, until the Agency makes the final decision, each consumer is protected from losing ownership of the parcel(s).
In particular, as a result of the action taken by the Agency, if the consumer does not take out the parcel from the warehouse of Georgia within 30 days, he/she will not automatically lose the ownership right to it. Accordingly, until the Agency's final decision regarding the possible violation of the law of Georgia on the protection of consumer rights, the company was prohibited from alienating the products in the parcel or leaving it in its possession.
From November 2022 - to June 2023, Agency has received 270 applications and a case study has been started on 175 applications. In 28 cases, 14 cases of violation of the right of the consumer group were confirmed, and in 3 cases the violation was not confirmed. The Competition Agency signed 48 commitment agreements in favor of the consumer in 84 cases.
