The Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA) has concluded its investigation into alleged violations of the Law of Georgia on the Protection of Consumer Rights by LLC “Nikora Trade”, resulting in the signing of a binding commitment agreement.
The investigation was initiated following multiple consumer complaints highlighting potential breaches of the Law by LLC “Nikora Trade”, including misleading practices in its retail outlets and discrepancies between the displayed product prices and the amounts
To address these concerns, the GCCA and LLC “Nikora Trade” have entered into a commitment agreement. Under this agreement, the trader is required to ensure that all product prices in its stores are clearly and accurately displayed. During promotional campaigns, “Nikora Trade” must provide consumers with detailed information regarding the validity period of offers and discounts. The agreement also stipulates that all consumer information be provided in the Georgian language, presented in a clear and easily understandable manner.
LLC “Nikora Trade” has been granted a two-month period to comply fully with the stipulated obligations.
