The National Competition Agency has launched the relevant administrative proceedings regarding the concentration between the two companies “Geopipe” Ltd (ID 404968282) and “Sibeli” Ltd (ID 400178981)
On April 20, 2021, the acquisition of a 100% share of “Sibel” Ltd Ltd (ID 400178981) by “Geopipe” Ltd (ID 404968282) has implemented bypassing the Agency. Within the relevant administrative proceedings, the undertaking (buyer) was fined under the competition law and asked to submit the information on the implemented concentration to the Agency. The study on the compatibility of the implemented concentration with the competitive environment is underway. Concentration refers to the heating and plumbing products market.
According to Article 8 (4) of the Order N39 “On Approval of the Rules for Submitting Notification and Review of Concentration" of the Chairman of the Competition Agency, October 26, 2020, it is available to submit opinions regarding the concentration, no later than November 26 of the current year, by e-mail of the Agency: info-gca@competition.ge or the address: Tbilisi, Davit Agmashenebeli Avenue N154, 10th floor.
