Representatives of the Georgian National Competition Agency are attending the 20th anniversary meeting of the Global Competition Forum

The virtual conference held within the framework of the 20th anniversary Global Competition Forum, organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), is attended by the representatives of the Georgian National Competition Agency.

The International Forum is chaired by: Frederic Jenny, Chairman of the OECD Competition Committee; Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD); Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the WTO, etc.

The forum is attended by more than 100 representatives of competition agencies, public and private sectors, up to 400 academy communities, who have the opportunity to learn about international best practices, get information from industry experts and discuss, in an expanded dialogue format, the implementation of effective competition policy.

The following key topics will be discussed during the forum: trade, development, and competition; economic analysis and evidence regarding cases on abuse of a dominant position, promotion of competitive neutrality by the competition authorities.

The international event is attended by the staff of the Georgian National Competition Agency: Sophio Momtselidze, Head of the Legal Department and a leading specialist of the same department, Irakli Shakiashvili; Teo Kvirikashvili, Leading Specialist of the Market Monitoring and Analysis Department; Giorgi Meladze, Chief Specialist of the Department for Protection of Economic Competition; Tatia Nikvashvili, Chief Specialist of the Anti-Dumping Department, and Teona Dekanosidze, International Relations Manager.
